It is true that social medial marketing goes a long way in promoting a product or service your company offers but how about your employees, can they become your strongest advocates? Yes is the answer.

Consumers/Clients are likely to get a product or go for a service when they hear about it from someone they trust. So this means your first customer is INTERNAL and not EXTERNAL. It’s therefore vital to help them become a brand themselves, either by trainings or any other avenues available to help them get there. Then you will find out that having your staff spread the word about how great your product or service is yields positive results.

It’s important to know what your employees stand for, their career goals, values, skill sets, expertise and also their weak points and strengths e.t.c. You don’t have to know all of these things about them in details but by making an effort to know a little bit of everything about them you’re on a progressive path to making your organization grow.

Spending resources to promote your products/services is good but how well do your employees understand what your company is all about. If they are to spread the word they need to clearly understand what your organization stands for so as to do a good job promoting it to people.

  1. LISTEN TO THEM

Even if your company is already well-known, listen to your employees ideas and thoughts for improvement or promoting the brand/product, it encourages loyalty to you.

  1. REWARD THEM

Giving bonuses and similar incentives is a good way to tell your employees you appreciate and value them. This boosts their morale and in turn they become effective ambassadors of your company.

  1. BE TRUE TO YOUR BRAND

If your company goals contradict your daily activities, then the wrong impression is passed to the employee, to avoid this you need to always make sure you are not derailing from your organization’s mission and vision.
